I tried to keep both arts alive, but the camera won. I found that while the camera does not express the soul, perhaps a photograph can! - Ansel Adams

My sincere apologies to those who frequent my blog to find the lack of updates. Being busy nowadays, saving and saving, hindered my blog updates. During the holidays, while everyone else was having his or her enjoyable moments, I was having my ITP. Yes, ITP. It was a short period though, with all the fun people to work with, and working without formalities and whatsoever. The best news I’ve heard in my ITP, was the fact that the “allowance” given the company, had been increased to $500 per month instead of the pathetic $440. The $60 increase maybe insignificant for some, but that wasn’t the case for me. It actually mean a smoother saving process for me to get what I want. For those of you who don’t know what I’m saving for, the answer is an easy one – Camera. Yes, I’ve reached the limit for my baby LX3, in the sense of it’s ISO limitations. Shooting in low light conditions never failed to piss me off when I see how grainy the photograph can be. However, I won’t sell it away. The Macro function is superb, and given enough light, the camera is simply orgasmic. After jumping from getting a D90, to a D300s, I’ve finally settled down with my final decision – the D700. Rumors have been spreading around, regarding a D700 replacement. But to me, what the heck, D700 is already good enough. Along with the body, I’ll get a prime lens – the 50mm f/1.4D. It may be old, but it’s one hell of a prime lens. Hopefully I’ll get the kit next Sunday and practice to get ready for my niece’s birthday. Till then, I shall pray hard that I’ll get more financial sponsors for my camera.
